Call for Proposals: Faculty Pub Night 2024-25

We are now accepting applications from Loyola Marymount University and Loyola Law School faculty for the 2024-25 season of Faculty Pub Night. Faculty Pub Night is a library-sponsored speaker series launched in 2010. It is designed to highlight a diverse, interdisciplinary range of research publications and creative works created by our LMU/LLS faculty, presented to a broad audience that includes students, faculty, staff, and off-campus guests.

Speakers are selected by an internal committee of librarians and library staff and approved by the dean of the library. The committee responsible for developing the series strives to select an annual line-up of eight faculty (four each semester) with diverse representation across schools and colleges, academic departments and programs. The most successful Pub Nights have featured speakers with a commitment to both designing an exciting program and building an audience for their talk. As such, we seek to highlight faculty who are committed to help promote and further the series. Presentations will be archived in LMU Digital Commons.

To apply: Please complete the 2024-25 Faculty Pub Night application form by 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Applicants will be notified of the selection committee’s decision the week of April 6, 2024.

If you have any questions about the series or the application/evaluation process, please contact the William H. Hannon Library’s Outreach and Engagement Department at library.outreach@lmu.edu.
