Congratulations, Teresa!

Teresa UeuntenTeresa Ueunten, a studio arts/multimedia major and computer science minor, is this year’s valedictorian for the Loyola Marymount University Class of 2021! Teresa has been a library student assistant on our systems and digital initiatives team for the last 3 years.

Of Teresa’s work, Digital Initiatives Librarian Jessea Young said:

“Teresa’s impact on the library cannot be understated. During her time with Systems & Digital Initiatives, she has worked on a wide range of projects with Systems & Digital Initiatives – that have essentially kept our department afloat. One of her first major projects was to upload over 300 screenplay research projects and countless articles into Digital Commons, LMU’s institutional repository, for the preservation and dissemination of LMU Scholarship. When the pandemic began, Teresa did not miss a beat, she turned her attention to web archiving by assisting in the curation of Social Justice internet archive collection by archiving the community’s response to Black Lives Matter and COVID-19. She has embodied the library’s vision by being a steward of LMU’s digital collections to support future researchers and scholarship.”

Congratulations, Teresa! Thank you for all your work at the William H. Hannon Library. We wish you the best of luck in the coming years.
