Librarian Susan Gardner Archambault on Using Dashboards and Infographics for Data Visualization

Librarian Susan Gardner Archambault just published an article in the April 2016 issue of Computers in Libraries, entitled Telling Your Story: Using Dashboards and Infographics for Data Visualization, in which she details best practices for effectively presenting data using infographics and dashboards. In particular, Susan highlights some of the ways the William H. Hannon Library uses data visualization to understand its users and to communicate services to our students and faculty.

For example, over the past year we have observed how students use the Information Commons space on Level 1. Rather than presenting this data simply as a table or list of numbers, Susan and her team created an infographic to highlight the most meaningful results.
