Faculty Pub Night Speaker Line-up for 2024-25

We are delighted to announce our speakers for Faculty Pub Night 2024-25 at the William H. Hannon Library. This will be the sixteenth year of our signature series, first established when the library opened in fall 2009. We hope you will join us! Pub Night offers our guests an opportunity to hear LMU faculty present, discuss, and answer questions about their most recent “pub”-lication in a casual setting.

Faculty Pub Night is open to all students, faculty, and staff. Community members are also invited to attend. This year, we have selected the following LMU faculty to speak about their recent works:

  • Anna Farzindar (February 18, 2025), co-author of “Natural Language Processing for Social Media”
  • Aidin Namin (March 11, 2025), co-author of “The Unanticipated Dynamics of Promoting Crowdfunding Donation Campaigns on Social Media”
  • Sean Dempsey (April 22, 2025), author of “City of Dignity: Christianity, Liberalism, and the Making of Global Los Angeles”
