Taylor Parks Appointed Interim Cataloging Librarian

Cataloging Library Assistant Taylor Parks has been appointed interim cataloging librarian, beginning in January 2021 and continuing through May 2022. Taylor first came to the William H. Hannon Library as a contract library assistant in 2019. In December of that year, they applied for and was selected for the position of cataloging library assistant, replacing Eric Osuna.

Taylor is a graduate of Illinois State University and holds an M.L.I.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to coming to Los Angeles, they previously worked as a library assistant at Heartland Community College Library, the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Urbana Campus, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In addition to their cataloging duties, they are currently serving as the library’s liaison to the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies.
