Archives and Special Collections is home to a wide variety of art, rare books, manuscripts, and the University Archives. Some of its highlights include Shakespeare’s four Folios, a collection of Netsuke, postcards (over one million from around the world), and the Leavey Center for the Study of Los Angeles Research Collection.
The strengths of our premiere book collections include first editions of important English and American literature, works by and about Thomas More and his world, Catholic authors, and materials once owned by early Southern California families.
Regular Archives and Special Collections reading room appointments are available, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
