Halloween Books for Kids and Teens

Hey LMU Parents and Babysitters! Are you ready for Halloween?

The library’s Curriculum Materials Collection (CMC) has lots of Halloween themed books for young ghosts and ghouls, in every reading level. For the young and old alike that love picture books, we have fiction stories like Cambria Evan’s Bone Soup and non fiction books about the history of Halloween like Katherine Tegen’s The Story of the Jack O’Lantern. We also have a bilingual book about El Día de los Muertos by Bob Barner.

For those just starting to read, we have some Early Reader stories like The Pumpkin Mystery by Carol Wallace and Horrible Harry at Halloween by Suzy Kline. Middle Schoolers with a taste for spooky stories will love Half Minute Horrors, a collection of creepy tales with authors like Lemony Snicket and Neil Gaiman.

All of our CMC books are located on Level 2 of the library. Happy Reading!
