With a new library comes new collections for our community, including the new Popular Reading Collection.
The Popular Reading Collection (PRC) is a new collection for the William H. Hannon Library that serves the pleasure and leisure reading needs of the students, faculty, and staff of the LMU community. The collection supports LMU’s mission to meet “the education needs of the whole person” through the encouragement of recreational reading, by providing a range of books outside the scope of the academic curriculum and the main library collection.
You will find popular fiction and bestselling non-fiction in the collection. Our opening day collection is approximately 350 books. We will grow this to about 650 over the next few months and the collection will always be changing.
You can find the Popular Reading Collection in the Rose Hills Foundation Reading Room, in the center of Level 2. These books can be checked out for three weeks, with one renewal permitted per item.
